What is the best way to make those insulators on the radio cables on 1:72 and 1:48 scale models? I tried a drop of glue but it always comes out looking like a drop of glue.

lpolpo22,
I use white glue for radio insulators. What kind of glue do u use??? It works very nicely but you have to do it EVER SO CAREFUL hope this helps. Feel free to e-mail me w/ any more ?? K Flaps up Mike
You may want to try different things dependingon scale. For 1/48 scale aircraft I simply use a little thick white paint. Just take a toothpick or similar tool, dip it into the paint and touch it to the cable. Since it’s paint in the finish color you don’t have to worry about coming back and painting it again. For larger scales you might consider something like a white fabric paint. For smaller just use well mixed paint. By the way I use like a 6x fishing line tippet material for my cables. Good luck!

In 1/48 and larger, it might be possible to use craft beads of a suitable size, shape and color.
