I am looking for instructions for a Bandai 1/48 U.S. Cargo Carrier M30. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
M1,
I don’t have an instruction sheet but was just wondering where you have been?
Haven’t seen you post in a while.
working. I’m harvesting for my great-uncle. lots of long hours. usually go to work at 8 and get back around 11 or midnight. Iv’e either been driving the swather, tractor and grain cart, or the tandem grain truck. got off this morning because we’re waiting for the dew to dry.
I have the Bandai M12 SP howitzer that the M30 is based on. I can make a copy of those instructions. They should give you a 90% solution. E-mail me with your snail mail addy and I can mail them on Monday.
Did you get a good deal?
yeah, I’d say it was a good deal. 50 cents with a couple parts missing. scratchbuilding and spares box here we come. actually its not mine but my 4 year old brother’s. so I get to help him with his first real model. should be interesting.
M1 you’re a nice guy, going to help your brother.
A lot of lesser guys would have offered him a few bucks and a “happy Meal” for it[:p] Hope you enjoy it.
Happy Modelling
Peter
What parts are you missing? I have the Eduard photo etched set for the M4 Sherman. I plan on using those replacement parts for some of the M12 parts. It may free up some parts that you need.
That is a good deal. Mint in box, the kit can pull up to $30 on Ebay. Bandai’s WW2 US kits normally get a pretty decent price. Some of their WW2 German kits pull in a small fortune.
Rather advanced kit for a youngster to build. They do much better with the early Tamiya kits that now a dime a dozen. Especially the Panzer II/III and M3/5/8 series of US WW2 light tanks.
HARVESTING instead of MODELING!!?? Well, I moved from the city into the country and never knew how hard farmers work (although many of my relatives farm and ranch) I take my hat off to all of you!
Let us know what parts you’re missing and I’ll go to my spares box also. Used to have a lot of those things, all gone now. too many moves!
Ron.
well, It depends on how much he’s able to do, I guess. I’m anticipating having to help him quite a bit with gluing. I’ll let him do most, if not all, the painting. I have only all #15 on sprue D and am missing 4,5,33-36,38-41,29 on C. I tried uploading some pics and they were taking forever and I have to get to bed. the parts loose in the bottom look like the hull, the right side panel, 2 artillery shell racks, 1 artillery shell, the 50 cal. turret ring, I think the floor that steps up to the 50 cal., and the 2 very back panels on the outside. and if you can beleive it, the entire decal sheet is here!
wow, that was quick, I just got the instructions today. thanks a lot Rob!!! and I thing that sprue D had a lot of cargo on it, so I don’t think that my little bro will mind that its missing, just as long as the vehicle is there. I imagine he’ll want to start right away but I still got a couple days of harvest left and then I have to start school, which will take a week or so to get back in the rut. so it will be about 2 weeks before I’ll be willing to help him.
(oh and in case somebody is wondering if I’ve been skipping school while I worked this fall, I homeschool, so I am just starting later.)
