Instruction request-Tamiya Jagdpanzer V

Hey there everyone,

I’m needing a copy of the instructions for Tamiya’s 1/35 Jagdpanzer V, kit number MT124 (the old MRC release). I got this kit in an estate lot and thought I’d be able to build it without the instructions (we don’t need no stinkin’ instructions!). But the deeper I get into it, the more I realize I ain’t that good to figure out the placement of all the little pieces.[proplr]

TIA!

Six Shooter

do you mean the jagdpanther? Or the Jagdpanzer? Got a pic of the box cover. I think I got ya covered but I just wanna be sure.

I rather suspect that this will be the ancient late 60’s(?) Jagdpanther complete with plastic axles for the first/last roawheel stations. I’m sure someone here will have instructions for that.

Hey DF, this is the one I have (hopefully the picture posting works [:P])…

You know, crazy as it sounds I hadn’t even thought about the axles until you mentioned them. Duh! Looks like they’ve gone MIA. Oh, well, I’ve already rebuilt one of the roadwheel stub axles (broken off and disappeared before I got the kit). That’s the joy of second-hand kits, but what the heck, it was free so who’s going to gripe about a little extra work?

You appear to have the motorised kit. This should have had metal axles for those stations, but IIRC, it also includes plastic axles on the sprues. I want to say on the roadwheel sprue, but I can’t remember for sure.

Failing that, a couple of lengths of appropriate diameter piano wire will do the trick.

EDIT: You may be able to glean some information from the old Panther A instructions, as the Jagdpanther kit shares the same lower hull and running gear. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10000203

Thanks Phil, that takes care of the road wheels and quite a bit of the rear plate as well. That was a huge help![Y]

the sheet i have is for a somewhat newer edition.the hull does not have the holes for the motor. but if it will work i’ll forward it.

DF, if you are able to scan the instructions, please forward them on. Send me a PM (or whatever it’s called now) when you have a chance. I really appreciate your help guys!
