Imthinking of trying to start a gruop build where we all build bombers, heavy or medium, from any company we want, and I want your input on if you would like to do this or not. Aslo tell me how to improve the general idea.
If all goes well ill post the topic and we can get started.

All these group builds are so darn convinient! I have a B-17G in the works, but it’s committed to the NMF Group Build and it will be my entry in the Nationals here in Manila… I’d like to join this GB with the B-17, if it’s okay with you guys… If not, well, i could always find another B-17… Maybe the B-17D version… [:D]
Ok then its settled we should start this group build, now who knows how to sticky it. oh and I was thinking the finish date could be around september, october or november. Depending on how fast or slow the average work pace is. We aslo have to think up of a name for the group build. Post some sugestions up and tell me what the best finish date for you guys would be.
My contributions will be the B-17G, two B-24D’s, B-29, and a B-25G all in 1/48 scale.
Theres a lot of GBs going on right now. So i suggest that the finsh date is later, maybe october or november. To sticky it you have to email one of the staff members. Theres a post about it in thecommunity assistance forum.

I’m new to this forum: what exactly is a “group build”? Sounds interesting. I need a boot in the rear to maybe encourage me to finish something! I’ve got a couple of B-24’s and a 17 “in the works”…
A group build is where several members build models, somehow related. They start on a start date and end on the end date, (usually about 2months time) they share all sorts of info and pics. Then when it is all over, you get to put the GB patch on your signature, like mine.
I’ve got all sorts of bombers waitin’ in the wings. However I would not be able to start another GB until October

To get this thing Sticky, go to the Community Assistance Forum, and there should be a topic there about getting stuff Sticky. Just ask, (I gave the website of the topic, just to be safe.) and that’s about it. The thing is, a webmaster is the only one who can make something Sticky, so you kind of have to somehow find one.
As for me, I’d love to join- except for one thing. I already have a Group Build going, the Prototypes and Paper Projects one. If it weren’t for that, I’d be on board in a second!
(It’s too bad, really. I just finished (almost) Revell Germany’s 1:72 B-36. Alas, I’m a little early.)

Hey Lucien Regardless of if your in the group build or not it would be cool to see your finished B-36. Send us photos when its done.

Vintage: I’m there! Any time, any bomber. I think that the group build idea works best when it’s parameters are not too tightly constricted, so your idea for a GB as you expressed it in your post seems just fine to me. I think you’ll get more people in the build this way & keep 'em happier at the same time. A non-exclusionary, easygoing,
have-fun attitude is definitely the way to go in my opinion.
I’m in…just not sure what to build…I have a B-26…and a Catalina. If I can enter the Cat, then that’s what I’d prefer to do!
Hey Jeeves I think you could enter the Cat due to the fact it was used as a bomber to carry depth carges and drop them from an altitude. So yeah I gues you could build the cat for this, just make shure you put depth carges on it.

I was planning on doing a Black Cat and I am pretty sure they went on bombing missions…but I will check to be sure. If not, then I will enter the B-26 as my choice…
