Sorry Bill, The mailbox nympth took your issue. [:D][}:)] I agree with you, whether I like the kit or not isn’t important as it is to know what other modelers think. If it were a nice kit, but a lousy buildup, I imagine people wouldn’t vote for it.
I agree that OIF probably played a big role in the popularity of the kit. I know i couldn’t find anything related to OIF for some time right after it started.
I guess the rules are fuzzy, but apparently a reissue that was heavily modified would qualify as a new kit.
Well, I didn’t vote for it because unfortunately, Tamiya doesn’t make any armor in my scale; therefore I had no reason or inclination to get it. I’ve only built one of their aircraft and it went together well and was fun to build. I can honestly say though, I’ll never build a Tamiya armor model, since they are always 1/35 scale. I admire the work of others in this Forum who do so well with these kits though!
Hey Duke, you never know…they may someday get into 1/72 also. Who would have thought they would enter 1/48? Dragon only recently got into 1/72. I see upside in that scale.
