High there one and all, I’m Peter Pan and I’m new to this kind of thing. I’m hoping that somebody out there can help me with the following. How in the hell does someone go thru the painfull event of converting a Monogram 1/48 scale F-18 (Blue Angels) into a Canadian CF-18. Is there a conversion set or do I have to scratch build. Also, are there any suitable up-grade sets? Time is no object being I have tinkered on this thing for years. Any help (other than a cyanide capsule) would be appreciated. thanks
first tip:google is your friend
as for what you need to do for modifications: 1) drill out a hole and make a light on the port side of the fusilage (not hard)
- sand off the bumps that don’t belong on a cf-188 (google is a good tool for both these mods)
also it depends what era of hornet you’re doing, initial delivery? mid 90’s? or the with the new “M” mods?
Thanks Curtiss (I guess this is stupid[D)]but do you build P-40’s)[sigh]It’s a good Start. Any Idea where some GOOD photos could be Found? I have some in a BRITISH magazine and a couple of others I guess it’s still scrounging time[banghead]. Thanks again.
good sites eh?
and googleing a specific squadron helps a bit too
and i think i’ver built 2 or 3 p-40’s, but only 1 keeper in 72 scale.

Thanks Guys, research IS half the battle. I Haven’t had time to check all these sites out but Check them out I shall do. I did manage to pick up some Tiger Meet decals a little while ago so that’s what I think I’ll do. My only hurtle is getting a game plan on how to build this silly thing[%-)][%-)][%-)]. Once I get started I’ll keep ya’ll posted. Tanx Again [bow][bow][bow]
