Info on weapons load-outs?

Hi guys,

Is there a site which provides information on weapons load-outs for various airplanes? For example, what weapons (and how many) can go on each hard point of an F-18 E/F or an A-10? In case you’re wondering, those are the two planes I’m currently building. If at all possible, I like my planes to be loaded for bear. Not sure how realistic it might be but I sure like it when some of those planes are loaded to the hilt.

Thanks!

Eric

Load-outs are usually specific for the strike package’s target… I’d suggest Google Imaging the specific aircraft you want to do and look for one that strikes your fancy…

An A-10 just don’t look right without a S&^%-ton of goods hangin off it.

Here’s what I did with mine. It was as much as I could cram on without being rediculously overarmed.

The ultimate source of that type of imformation for Navy or Marine Corps aircraft is the NATOPS FLIGHT MANUAL. For Air Force aircraft, the publication is called the “DASH ONE” On a hunch I tried google search using the term F/A-18 NATOPS MANUAL and, sure enough, they are there…

Fermis,

Now THAT’S what I’m talking about!!! Some things only look right when they’re portrayed in a certain way. With the old Corsairs, you show them with their flaps hanging all out. With an A-10, you hang as much junk off the wings! That’s all there is to it! Anything else just doesn’t seem to look right. LOL!

Ray, you are awesome! Thank you so much! I tried doing various Google searches such as “F-18 weapons load outs” and “F-18 E/F weapons stations” and other similar searches. I am going to try the NATOPS search. I had never even heard of that before. Thank you so much for the great info!

My best to all,

Eric

I found this site a while back.

While it is specific for Desert Storm birds only it is very comprehensive. World Airpower Journal, Wings of Fame, and another similar publication of which I cant recall the name of currently also have weapons loudout charts often for specific aircraft types.

Actually is there such a term as overarmed when referring to a A-10?

My idea for arming a A-10 is to max it out in the pain factor 12 Mk20’s, 2 Napalm, 6 Mavericks and as many GBU’s that could take up the remaining slots.
