Back in April I posted a problem I had with the decals for Hasegawa’s P-38J “Viginia Marie” and although I phoned and wrote to Dragon Models about the problem, I never got an answer. Since then I got a copy of Squadron Signals Walk Around for the P-38 and sure enough there’s a photo of “Virgina Marie” and in the caption it says that the aircraft was painted in Light Blue, FS#15102. I then compared that color with the kit decal in my FS color chips and the closest color is 35275, quite a difference! The box art work and color photos of the completed model are a very close match to FS#15102 so I guess I’ll contact Dragon Models for whatever good it will do. Due to the complexity of the decals I can’t see myself trying to paint over all of them to make them accurate. Jack R.
