In Search Of... The R7V Connie

Maybe some of you Auld Phartz like me can help… I been digging through my rather auld collection of Fine Scale Modeler and Scale Modeler mags and haven’t been able to locate any manufacturer of a 1/48th vac-form R7V/C-121 Constellation… I coulda swore there was at least one kit from Concise Models (or something like that) once upon a time, but so far, no joy… I need it (rather, intensely desire) to complete the set of Blue Angels support birds… I’ve got a C-130 and R4D lined up, but the Connie is proving elusive, at best…

ID Models made a C-121 in 1/48. I’ll look around but so far, no joy. here’s a related site I thought was very cool and along the same vein…
