In response to J-Hulk's Armor Closet....

I thought I would post my picture here instead of the 1/16 Tiger 1 Build. This way, the thread doesn’t get too far off subject and others can post their pics if they want (would be fun to see what you have)

I know we have seen pictures from others with whole rooms filled. Here is my modest (but growing) collection [;)] The only 2 not in the closet are my Dragon Morser Karl and Dragon Leopold. The wife said she needed room too so, they are on a different shelf.

Nice collection, My wife said it’s neater than mine. You think that was a hint.

Erock,

You have to use the “multiple location technique”. The collection doesn’t seem as big if it’s scattered in different spots.

This my closet and my son’s closet:

This is the cellar:

It’s all in the presentation

Hey, folks![:)]

Erock, we do have similar closets! Lots of familiar faces in there.

And I see Whittman on Cromwell has arrived![;)]

Yes, Wittmann arrived yesterday [:p]

Are we rubbing in those “cheap Tamiya kits” again?[:p]

Oh, no, no, Tim.

If I wanted to do that, I’d tell ya about how they give away free T-55s with each purchase of a liter of milk down at the local convenience store…

Jus’ kidding![:D]

guys, i’m gonna print out these pix so that when my mom starts talking about how many unbuilt kits i’ve got, i can show her what the real deal is ! makes me glad i’m doing 1/72 and 1/76… i have more room for the boxes of unbuilt stuff as well as finished pieces. my only question is, where do u folks put ur models once they’re finished ? i’m stalling on my 1/35 Walker Bulldog 'cause i’ll have to build a new shelf just for it and the 1/35 BRDM-3 i’m working on…my closet and my corner of the basement are filling up with stacks of armor. maybe we all need a 12 step program …[;)]
frosty[:)]

They only need to worry about display space if they finish them. [:D]

OOps…I probly should shut up I have half-dozen in progs. [:P]

This was posted a while back on ww2modelmaker, so these pics are farily old…but here is my model room and kits. I have done a few since but have accumulated some more in it’s place.

Cheers

Rob

We don’t need a 12 step program frostygirl, maybe a 12 step shelving unit [:D]
Actually, if you have the room, buy a cheap bookcase at Walmart or somewhere for $30-$40 and that makes a good display unit. [:D]

Eric

Here’s my ready rack, doesn’t include the stuff in the shed or garage (both of which have even more):

I feel so humbled.

My $5 to my name has precluded me from stocking up, I rely on the generosity of family.
My “closet” consists of a pair of PzIV Ausf. H’s an in progress Leopold, and soon, a 1/16 KT.

hey moses,

Great work space. Lots of light.

Is that a homemade rack for those paints? Does that mean you have building skills in more than just plastic?

Nice collections guys. My collection is growing too fast since you guys showed me the light of purchasing over the internet. [:p] The only thing I’m doing wrong is storing them in my hobby room instead of the closet. If I stored them in the closet, then my wife wouldn’t be able to buy any more shoes and have a place to put them. [}:)]

Yeah Build, that room has plenty of light, which helps me out a ton. I have 2 over head flourescent lights along with 2 desklamps on a swivel for figures and detail work. The paintrack is homemade, but believe me…I am far from a wood worker. I basically consolidated all my skills I learned from Hometime and put it into making that rack [:D]

I really need to build something, like Moses has, for his paints. Right now, I have them in 3 small toolboxes. I like the display rack idea for them!

I can feel a trip to Lowe’s or Home Depot coming on!

Moses,

Your woodworking looks good, you just need a little squadron putty on those screw holes.

Rob G - great assortment - should keep you busy on one or two rainy days.

I’m way behind. All I’ve got is 5… wait there’s the M8 and the p-47 test bed and the corvair and the '59 ford in the basement… Well it’s a start!

LOL Build, I was trying to say that I can’t build with wood and I pulled that shelf out of my butt so to speak. Just needed a neater way to have the paint stored.
