I have the Hasegawa F-4C Phantom and some detail sets for it and want to build the aircraft flown by Robert Titus and Milan Zimmer which mounted a belly gun pod and shot down a Mig21. Fox One made a set of decals with these markings in 1/48 scale but it is no long in production. Where can I get these markings?
Here is my favorite thing to do. Track down the Squadron they were in, which looks to be the 389th Tactical Fighter Squadron, and find those guy’s web site. If it exists, they WILL know the answer. If no such www exists start searching links.
Needless to say this a good side of the web.
I cannot say enough abt where veterans organizations links lead you.
Probably your best bet, besides eBay, is to post your need on ARC and Hyperscale’s forums, too. A lot of times you’ll be able to find somebody who is willing to part with a partial decal sheet.
Good hunting!

Do you have the tail code and numbers?
What scale?
Tail code AK and tail number AF 40776
Ive tried Ebay and ARC no luck. There was a Fox One Decals set at one time but is no longer available
Well Ive posted everywhere you guys suggested, NO JOY. Can anyone help me find this decal sheet?
I’ve often had to repost my plea for decals once every couple of weeks for months. Eventually, somebody with the decals will see it.
One other option that I’ve used pretty often, is to piece together the markings from other decal sheets. Aeromaster(48803) released a sheet of white 24" tail codes and serial numbers. You’ll need to source the small black “AF” and first two of the serial number from somewhere else, but those are petty common and shouldn’t be too hard to find. The squadron and wing badges, if applied, might be sourced from a sheet for another type the squadron flew. Any stripes applied can be masked and painted or made from Microscale decal film of the appropriate color.
Good luck!
