Image posting problem

I am having a problem getting a link from the Imgur site to insert in the Source box and/or Image description windows under the insert/edit image box. My work around is to type it in myself, such as:

https://imgur.com/a/SbShRxf with the squared parantheses surrounding it. If I type it like I’m describing it all that shows up is a blank page.

When I type this into either the Source or Image description window, all I get is a blank page. What am I doing wrong?

Try this, in Imgur select picture then Direct Link, copy, back to FSM post, select Add picture icon, at the Edit image box press Control+V and Imgur link should insert. You just have to enter numerical dimensions,I use 500x 350, hit ok and you should be good to go.

Hello!

I tried the following:

I have right-clicked the image, selected “Open picture in a new tab” (working with Firefox), then copied the URL from the URL field and pasted that in the source box of image posting here:

TEST

Sorry to say, the FSM forums are like 10 years behind state of art, other forums allow “pasting” pictures - which requires some storage space for every member, that usually is limited to some MBs, but makes participating so much easier.

Hope this helps, have a nice day

If you mean the Source box in the Insert tool, just dispense with it altogether and paste your link straight into the body of your post. That’s how I add images. I don’t bother with the Insert tool.

I paste mine right into my posts too, just like Baron does. Never had much luck with the link tools on this forum. I’m using Imageshack and posting my pics as thumbnails.

Pawel, your suggestion worked. I was copying from the original imgur page, whose address didn’t include .jpg at the end. Opening in a new tab, the address had a .jpg at the end and that is what I copied and pasted. This was the result.

Thank you all for your help.

One of the reasons i don’t post much here anymore, is that it is difficult and complicated, especially from mobile devices (which constitute 100percent of my online usage…maybe one day it’ll change…
