Well it’s been about 6 loooong years since I’ve modeled anything. But finally the bug’s hit again! Previously I’ve built bits and pieces of everything, although I’d have to say about 50% of my kits have been cars - street cars or F1 to be exact.
I’d say my skill back then wasn’t anything spectacular, it was only in my last 2-3 kits (when I got my first airbrush) that I really got serious about aiming for 101% accuracy with a few odds and ends of extras I’d scratchbuilt into the kit along the way.
So now I’ve decided to start off small. Being a massive fan of WWII history (love Band of Brothers!) I decided to kick things off with a Tamiya German Pak35/36 artillery kit, and make a small diorama around it. I got a bit over-eager along the way and also grabbed the Tamiya German 88mm Gun as well.
Let the collection begin!
Left over from my prior modelling days is also a Tamiya 1:20 Jordan 191 F1 car that is 80% complete, and I’ll be damned if I’m not so proud of this kit I’m about to explode!!! I think I might even post some pics I took of it recently in the auto section for you guys to check out if you’d like.
Anyway, glad to be back in the loop again - can’t wait to get some finished models up on the forums for you guys to see.
Welcome back to the Plastic Assylum Captain Mark. And welcome to FSM. Good for you to have found your way back to the hobby. Hope you are here to stay.
