I'm back - Introduction 1/144 modeler

Hi - other than a few models when I was a kid, and a few 1/1250 ships 25 years ago, I have not done much modeling. I have just retired, and have collected 40-50 post-war until current American, Russian and a few other military fighters and bombers - all 1/144 scale. I hope to get started soon - and would welcome any advice. Thanks!

I do a lot of 1:144, it is a good scale for airliners, that can get pretty big. It is nice that those kit mfgs who do newer, larger models in 1:144 now are offering the older, smaller stuff in that scale now so we can have more complete collections.

Be sure to notice, among the hierarchy of Fine Scale forums, the Tools, Techniques, and Reference Materials forums (the last group). These include a number of how-to forums that will be a big aid to the present state of the art in tools, paints, glues, etc. that have appeared in the last 25 years.

Thank you - I think???
