If i was going to build just one F-15, what kit would should i use?
I’ve heard the Monogram Revell 1/48 F-15E is one of the best F-15 kits going these days, it also comes out under Revell Germany as well.
It got a good review in FSM last year and was the subject of an article about photo etched part application in last month’s FSM.
I’ve heard Italeri’s 1/48 F-15C from earlier this year is wanting in some repects, but its dimensions and shapes are good.
Outside of Tamiya’s 1/32 F-15E (my wallet screams in agony at the thought of it[:0][:(]) those are the latest word I’ve heard in F-15 kits in a couple of years.
What scale? There’s a big difference in the quality of the kits at different scales.
1/32: Obviously, the Tamiya is the only one in town so that’s that.
1/48: For the price, I like the Academy kits. Nice detail, good options, but won’t break the bank
1/72 and below: Don’t know, as I don’t do that scale

Depends on your priorities. For price and good overall shape the new Revell F-15E in 1/48 is a great kit. For size, and cost not being an issue, get any of the 1/32 Tamiya F-15s. For a good F-15A the Monogram kit is still one of the best and even has the correct wheels.
