Idea for "in-flight " photos from bobbailey's post

So I’m just wandering through the forum, and a funny thing happens (go figure).

I’m looking at the pics of bobbaily’s Spitfire on the last page of the Monogram group build, (and, I mght add, a mighty fine looking Spit it is !) the third pic in the series… and I’m thinking… neat ! he decided to do an “in flight photo” of the Spit over the english channel. Then I realized that it was just the surface of the glass patio table that it was sitting on.

So if you’re looking for a “poor-mans” method of producing an in-flight photo without digital magic - try it. You could even put some kinda mottled blue background underneath it to make it look even more like water.

that is actually one of the most realistic fake-water finishes ive ever seen. its a pity my patio table is made of white plastic…
