It’s part of a local memorial.
I’m currently reading a E.B. Sledge’s “With the Old Breed” and there’s a b/w pic in it that shows a gun that looks very close to this one and identifies it as a Japanese 150mm howitzer with the pic taken on Okinawa.
This gun had three plaques on it,all in English.Only one of which was legible.It appears to read ‘WI CARRIAGE’.
‘WI’ would mean Wisconsin,correct?
It looks to be about 155mm in caliber and a US or British WW1 design. I can’t find anything to positively ID it though.
It is a WWI design as it bears a 1916 date.

I’ve hunted around and found it identified as British and German.I think we can rule out German.
After a little searching, it appears to be a British BL (Breech Loading?) 60 Pounder (5 inch) on a “type 2” carriage. Manufactured by EOC (Elswick Ordnance Company)?

If memory serves, there was a Hinchcliffe 1/32-1/35th White metal model available, pulled by a horse team.
