ICM Spitfire Mk XVI finished.

Just declared it finished this morning. I am happy to hear what you might find needs improvement. Aeromaster decals, with which I had some silvering problems I may deal with after the model has rested a while. This was done as practice for the Spitfire GB which starts in July. Model Master and Tamiya paints.

Looks good jeaton01, the camo pattern looks good and the cockpit and cockpit door look good from what I can see. What colors did you use for the camo pattern.

David

I like it, John. Not much I see to improve upon aside from the silvering issue. There are things I would have done different (mostly along the lines of weathering), but those are just matters of personal taste and not really related to construction, although I feel some weathering would further enhance what is already a really nice model. It looks like you tried RLM74 for a wash on the RAF interior green. I really like the way those two colors work together used in that manner. All in all, I’d say it’s something to be proud to display, and if that’s only practice, then I eagerly await your Spitfire GB contribution. [tup]

…and the spinning prop does make for a nice pic! I thought that was really cool!

David, the colors are Dark Green, Ocean Grey, and Medium Sea Grey, all Model Master.

Did someone say Spitfire? [;)]

That looks great! Very nice paint and weathering. Nice job on the spinner too. Looks like you got the nose panels and all solved and glued on nicely also.

Very nice Spitfire!

Darn it, John! All these Spitfires recently are making me want to go out and buy one!!

Very nice on yours. How is the ICM kit? IN my opinion, to enhance an already nice build, a little “wash” in the wheel area would really set them off. As rudratt mentioned, that’s just a personal taste on weathering.

Great looking Spitfire. Now hurry back to the BomberGruppe GB!!! [;)]

Love the shot with the prop turning, John.

Great looking Spit John. Does not look like you needed “practice”

In a word…Beautiful!

You are all very kind with your comments. Hopefully my attempt on K5054 will measure up!
