Don’t know if any of you have ever put together this tiny little fighter (especially in 1/72), but wow what a little package of detail.
I saw it on eBay for $3 and figured it would be worth picking up, not expecting much. The level of detail for such a tiny model surpass’s some 48th scale kits I’ve put together.
The elevators and rudder are molded seperately, the engine is about nine seperate pieces, having the cylinders, push rods, gear box w/ fuel -air lines, and each exhaust tube molded seperately, not to mention having to mount that to the engine mount which then gets put on the seperate fire wall, hidden with seperately moldeded engine panels. The interior has the seat pan, rudder pedals, and control stick to be put together, and a clear mounted gun sight (which I already see me loosing). Holes in the wheel wells are provided to run a cable to the wheels.
Was so amazed at the amount of deatail in this tiny package I had to share. The potential for super detail is overly inviting, but a magnifying glass / microscope might be required. Not to mention no caffiene in hopes the hands are steady enough.[wow]
