ICM 1/48 P-51B Mustangs WIP

Guys,

Much harder than I thought. i was assuming it would be the same easy building process as the Tamiya kits it was"copied" from. I messed up alignments for both pits when the fuse was built. anyway, will make it worth the effort.

Found the ICM kits are great value for your money. Started the ICM 1/48 Spitfire and was pleased with the detail and full engine. Not for beginers as there are few locator pins!

Your Mustangs are looking great! Keep the WIP’s flowing.

The ICM Mustangs were pirated from the Tamiya kits, but lacked Tamiya Quality Control. I refuse to buy anything from ICM or any Company that indulges in piracy.

Regards, Rick

i won this kit on ebay, its the d-day kit (2 stang bs, spitfire IX). i read some reviews after i got the kit, i shouldve read the reviews earlier. anyway, its another skill level challenge for me.

Hey Guys,

here’s some more progress pics from the past weeks, I used the kit decals for the NMF and they really gave me a hard time! i decided to go OD on the second one and just scrounge up spare decals. fictional plane but i enjoyed working on it.

Two nice looking birds, James! Those should look nice together on your display shelf!
