I would just like to say....

That messing with PE parts has got to be one of the classic definitions of insanity!

I bought, from eBay, a panzer 140/1, made by VM Co. Ltd. (I asked about that maker a year ago or so) and it came with more aftermarket PE parts than the model has original parts!

Not kidding either. I get three sets of aftermarket wheels, two sets of treads, aluminum barrel, enough PE to make three complete turrets (plus the original plastic one) full interior set, countless buckles, latches and other incredibly tiny details.

The sad part about the whole thing is the original kit, upon a closer examination, isn’t very good. The parts have very soft details, and the fit is iffy.

And of course the PE bits are supposed to help, assuming one could figure out the **^%*^%ing instructions that are written in either Polish, Czech, or hieroglyphics!

I’m sorely tempted to ship this entire set off to Biffa or somebody equally skilled, and have them build it for me.

The kit isn’t supposed to be the greatest quality, thus probably why you have so much AM for it. Honestly, if you didn’t know what you were doing with that much AM, you probably shouldn’t have gotten it. It can be really overwhelming sometimes…

Dont want it, put it back up on eBay, I’ll bid for it [:)]

Remember, nobody says you have to use all of the PE.

I know I don’t have to use all that PE, but who else makes a good 140/1 kit?

I would save it for later, once you are more comfortable with PE parts. Get your hand on some less complicated models and get back to that one.

i feel your pain i built this kit a few months back and it is no fun i beleive dragon is about to release this very kit so if it were me ide ebay this dood and wait for the new one.
