I’m a new man! I had been using plaster for terrain for a huge diorama layout. I was tired of hte mess and unsandability, so I tried Joint compound. Of course it cracked, so i tried a thinner, more watery layer. Cracked worse. I was leary of trying Sculptamold, I don’t know why. But I tried it. It’s everything they say it is. Easy to use, looks like terrain, dries in reasonable time, sandable. Repeat, easy to use. Use it. It’s great. Hallelujah, Amen, where’s the Tylenol!
I’ve been using Sculptamold for over 4 years and agree…it’s the cat’s meow.
I have a spanking brand new and unopened bag of it ready to try. I am trialling Celluclay currently with good results but will try the Sculptamold in 2008.
Cat’s meow? Down under we would say “Bee’s knee’s” [tup]

Up here we just say “cool”
Lol but ya, I’ve been using plaster and Im getting kind of sick of it. Messy to mix, hard to keep if you mix too much, and I find sometimes I get a really bad batch and it turns all chalky and soft after it dries and becomes almost unuseable. I gotta go to a craft store sometime and pick up a thing of celluclay, sculptamold or anything better than plaster to try out.
