Since that shot I have applied some heat stress to the aft sections of the engines and decals are now going in place. All decals are from the spares box - have come up with a pretty cool marking scheme (at least I think so) which will be shown off shortly.

Looks amazing Swanny!!! An absolute gem.
Love that finish, Matt. Very well done. The lil chickie is nice too!
“Ja, mein schatz, it’s true. This plane can take me over 800 km/h. I can shoot down those Amerikan schwein quicker than you can say ‘Mein Fuhrer’. Now, would you like to head back to my quarters for some hefeweissbier, ja?”
Great plane, Matt. Glad to see you got some time at the bench after the “incident”. It’s really odd seeing a Luftwaffe bird in NMF. They loved painting the most cockamany schemes on planes. this plane looks so sharp, though. How did you achieve the look along the panel lines?
Matt, thats gorgeous. Really. I just love the scheme. The 2 black anti glare stripes on the nacelles, sell it totally to me.
Awesome my friend.

Thanks guys.
Radmax8, that is post shading done with some magnesium Alclad.
Awesome, that is really cool looking! The NMF looks very real too.

I’ll be blunt, Swanny. This model has me torn. Why, you may ask?
Check out the side view- probably one of the aboslute nicest profiles you can ask of an airplane, especially a jet (I’m biased toward props- I don’t think I’ve built a jet airplane yet). It just screams speed, sleekness, and power.
THEN you get to the top view. I hate it. Sure, it may be more “aerodynamically effient”. Heck, it may even be more “modern”. But… ik. It’s too wide, too flat, too much like a pointed pancake. I much prefer the top-down lines of the original Me 262.
ALL that stuff aside, though, once again Swanny, an amazing model. I need to do a full-on weathered NMF here one of these days. Possibly on my B-29- we’ll see. Awesome stuff.
(in my Peter Griffin voice) “Aw, dis is AWESOME! Freakin’ sweet!”
Slicker 'N snot!
A real stunner! Luv-it!
