G’day all
I’ve got a history assignment on the great war due next week, it’s individual task and all the students got to choose thier topic out of a wide pre-selected range of main topics to do with the great war. One option was the use of tanks and I felt obliged to do it. However, books and the internet aren’t being my friends in the way of convenience[
].
Just wondering if anyone knew of any decent websites on these beautiful/ugly machines.
Cheers SNG!
Hi, if you have a Dymock’s around see if they have TANKS OF WARS I AND II by George Forty (ISBN 10:1-84476-292-0) as this has some info on those series of tanks that appeared in WWI. It covers the Mark I, II, III, IV, V and VIII Heavy Tanks Male and Female. ( and no I ain’t taking the P*ss!)
Cheers.
Have you tried this site or any of the links they list?

Osprey/Vangaurd has a great, all-inclusive book called “British Mark I Tank 1916”
You can get a used copy in good shape on Amazon.com for as little as $7.66., or on Half.com for $7.99.
