I Need help in finding color shift glass!!!

Hello all I saw (this image) and rememberd a guy at the last local model show I was at and he left before I could ask where he got the real color shift glass on his M1A1? So I’m asking all of you if any one here will help point me in the right direction.

(this image):

I have tryed using Alclad II on my Bradley view ports and it did not look like real glass.

Dunno about real colour shift glass, but I use coloured holographic stickers, as seen on this Italeri 1/35 M1A2:

Just cut 'em to size, stick 'em in place and protect them with a couple of coats of Future.

And don’t ask about the penguin. It’s a long story.

And one day I’ll remove the BFA from the commander’s 0.50 cal, really I will…

Cheers,

Chris.

No, really whats the story with the Penguin?

Someone else also said to use the shiny confetti that you can get at any party store and i’m sure elsewhere. Just cut it into shape, glue and future.

You know you can get big full sheet of those holographic stickers here in the us. Go here:

Main page: http://www.grafixarts.com/ Funky Film Just cut , Peel & Stick.

All the prices have gone up. They use to be only 9.95 for each pack. I all way can use the detailer over bare-metal foil. Thanks again man now I have my head on right.

Like the man said, holographic confetti works well as well, and may be cheaper, and easier to find. I got the stickers (which came in he shape of hearts, feet, hands, and so on) in a local artists’ materials store, but they’re pretty widely available.

And if anyone really wants to know the story about the penguin (whose name is PFC Pikeman), PM me!

Cheers,

Chris.

What I use is transparent paint. I paint the clear glass from the back and put them where they belong. I cut Tamiya masking tape and mask the front so that I do’nt get paint on them while airbrushing the model. The result looks good. With the glass still transparent but with a tint of color when viewed rom the front.

The problem with transparent paint is that it looks the same whatever angle you view it from, while colour shift glass looks different, when you view it from different angles. The holographic stickers and confetti that we’ve been discussing repicate this effect far more convincingly.

Cheers,

Chris.

I have a store here and I’ll go out and get some of those holographic stickers and confetti. And try it out. Thanks every one.
