I need a kit to take up some space.

For some strange reason, I feel like building a regular 1/35 armor kit to fill up space on my shelves. I don’t want to add any aftermarket, and I want too have fun building it. My budget is 25 dollars, so can anyone recommend something?

Something by Tamiya.

Go online (try Armorama or Missing-lynx) and check out the ‘buy, sell, trade’ threads or go to a show and snag something off the vendor’s table.

Have fun.

I too, would say something by Tamiya, but just a tad over $25, for a larger kit (Tiger 1 or Tiger 2). Dragon isn’t a bad choice either. A little more prep work but, both make superb models.

What are you looking for…German, American, Russian Armor?

You should be able to grab one of Trumpeter’s KV 1 kits for about that. Yes, older Tamiya kits are available in that range, but I’d prefer something more up-to-date then that.

Check ebay. Lot’s of stuff available for little $$$ if you can find it.

I have to agree with Tigerman…

The Trumpeter KV range is simply a very, very nice kit for a reasonable amount of money…And since these beasts had various shades of green and some very interesting field-mods and damage, you can nearly go anywhere!!

Good luck on your choice, John.

I’m becoming a fan of Cyber-Hobby’s Value Pack kits, Sprue Brothers has a lot of them in the $20-30 range, check out their specials section.

my vote on KW from trumpeter. It is a grat kit!

“…to take up some space”…so are you looking for a LARGE kit?

The DML/Dragon E100 or Maus are good choices there. Maybe a little more than $25, but nice, big kits, and really not hard builds.

You can get the Maus HERE for a mere $31.00.

Ah, yes, $31 seems like a bargain, but it’s $20 for shipping… Also, I just mean a run-of-the-mill armor build, not something big.
