Well, we all know how ausf has been coverting to smaller stuff and gettin all of the attention (poor me![:(]) LOL! So I had to do something about it.
Its a 1/72 scale dio. the base is celluclay and woodland scenics: 2 different colors of static grass, railroad ballast, and bushes stuff, and flowers. The Tiger is the same one I built for Mad Tiger Day- Dragons new kit. The jeep is from academy’s WWII ground vehicle set. The windows on the jeep were made from testors window glue and the holes were made with a knife. the figs, German and and US, are both italeri.
The them is to potray a jeep on a scouting mission that ran into some trouble when the driver who was going to fast lost control and slid down the embankment and lost one of the soldiers in the crash. A colum of SS troops discovered the crash site and quckily moved in to investigate the jeep before the surviving Americans (because they were knocked out) could escape. There only chance wash to hide behind some hedges.
Sorry, its kinda tricky. The one thing thatis bothering me with this dio is the position of the Jeep. I wish I would have made it on its side or something.[:(][:(!]
Well, this was my first contribution to the Young Guns GB. Tell me what you guys think. And even though I am a Young gun I can still take the critisism! So bring it On!!!

Your figures need some work, I know it’s small scale, take your time and use a magnifier you’ll get much better results. The base looks good as does the tiger.
thaks for the comment. that what I like! I probably should get a magnifyer, I bet that would help alot! It funny how you can look at thesee small figs and think they are good. and then take a pic and the light shows every little mistake.

We all need work, it’s about the journey, not the # of finished models on the shelf. You display really good skills, and, at 15, and you stick to it, imagine how good your stuff will be when you an old fart (34) like me. I can tell you that you’ll be head and shoulders above the pack. Your landscape is really good. And I cannot comment about figgys as I have yet to takle them, although it is in my future. Keep up the good work.
(Rebelreenactor)“John”. Gosh, a Small scale diorama with a complete dialogue. You should be writing books John, great storyline. I would be hard pressed to find fault with work this small. the story and composition all are fine. You need to continue to develop your finishing skills, and believe me, that is an area we all strive to improve on. You’ve put alot of hard work into your project and it deserves our praise. Nice job Rebel! As you’ve mentioned, harsh lighting really picks out defects.
I may have stuffed some small crap in a bottle, but you don’t see me taking on 1/72 figures. You got a lot going on there, a good story.
Nice story and dio you’ve got going there rebel! I struggle with 1/35 figures, can only imagine how you are able to get what you do out of 1/72!
Head down to your local Office Depot or Wal-Mart and get yourself a deskclamp magnifier/light combo…I can’t imagine working without mine even in 1/35. If it looks good under 5x magnification, it will look absolutely fabulous to the naked eye. I can’t really add anything more to what’s been said except keep it up and always look at the next project as a way to push your skills even further! [tup]

Looks good, its good to see one of us youngins’ works. Nice job, im sure 1/72 scale figs are tough, make it will come with time. Looks real good, was that the dragon tiger?, i jsut finished mine yesturday.
nice diorama, but it seems kind of weighted! :<) A tiger and an entire unit of german troops would probably not go after just 1 jeep and driver. It would look a little better I think if you added a couple of Americans around the jeep. Nice work!
Nicely done! I like the fact that your Americans are hiding from the tank, looking the situation over. Now, if one American popped that flame thrower pack (spewing fuel all over the place that of course ignites… ) and the other two took out the four by the jeep (who would look at the guy who had the flame thrower)… they could use the land mine to kill the Tiger…

stickjockey, I wasnt really going for anything spacific, just what the kit came with.
i think it is possible that the ss troops and a tiger could be sent after a jeep, it was out on a scouting mission, the germans wouldn’t have wanted the americans to escape with information on the location of the german’s defences, so they probaly would have sent who ever was in the area to capture the scouts for intellagence on the allied positions.
