I][:I][:o)][:p]Ahem, ahem. [:D][8D][:)] Anyway, my tip got published in the March 2005 issue. My Tip is the last one on the page. Anyhow, now for the question. They said to enclose my social security no. for payment ( I know, I know, I have to be greedy I can’t let the fame be enough)but I neglected to do so. Who should I send this valuable information to in order to collect my payment, gold, fortune, treasure, or riches? hehehehe. Seriously, who? Thanks guys.
I don’t see why they need a S.S. number. Personally I wouldn’t give it out.
I wouldn’t give it out either. Having been a victom of id theft and spent years trying to fix it, I don’t think it is worth the risk. BTW, congrats on your publication!
They probably need it so they can send you and the IRS a form 1099. You’ll get to pay for your riches on your 2005 returns.[BH]
Congrats!
Model Grandpa is absolutely correct. We need the SS# for tax reporting purposes. Sorry to disappoint those that thought we were up to something a bit more nefarious.
Tankmaster, you’ll probably need to contact someone on our editorial staff with that information, but I’ll do some checking and follow up with you off board.
Please forgive my ignorance but what exactly have you published and where can we see it?
Way to go Tanky [:)].
Regards, Rick
Congrats, Tanky!
Peruytu, it is a tip on the Reader’s Tips page. Mine is the last one on the page.
Whoa! Awsome Tank! Congrats man… hope this is the first of many more tips to come!..
SPeaking of tips, can you please tip me $25 for all the compliments, I need to buy me a SU-47 Berkut.
KIDDING!!!
Anyways, congrats!
Hahahaha. You’re a funny one!
The SS numbver is one of the reasons why I don’t submit articles to FSM, for the simple reason that I as a non-US citizen/resident don’t have one.
Same way I cannot enter their sweepstakes.
So how would I or any other modeler/forum meber get paid for my submissions?
Non-US residents would need to provide us with a tax payer ID number to be compensated for a submission.
Did some research on it and I think you are talking about an ITIN.

Sounds like quiet a bit of hassle to get one.
Congrats, Tanky! Way to go.
That’s the one. Thanks for providing the link for other’s reference.
