Never thought I would but the directions for the Academy P38 are horrific. Absoluetly no logical paint instructions. I assume everything on the belly that is exposed is silver or aluminum incluuding drop tanks and bombs. Does that sound right? These instructions rival an Avengers but don’t have the font registering at 2.5 like the avengers does.
If your’e building a NMF P-38, then the drop tanks would most likely be NMF also. Bombs would more likely be OD with Yellow markings. Kit instructions for painting are iffy at best and very often incorrect, so you can’t build accurate models without some research of the real aircraft.
the only good way to do a model and be as accurate as possable is to do research there
is no substute for that

Thanks roadkill…Sorry Guys for the repeated question message got carried away… [:(]…Jorge
Jorge, roadkill got it right. NMF=Natural Metal Finish. Some would also use BMF, Bare Metal Finish, as an abbreviation. Nothing wrong with being a rookie, glad us old dogs can help out now and then.
