I’m with you!![#ditto] I actually fill mine up with water color and practice on cardboard.There really are affordable packages out there and with a compressor I can just start it up and play!!!
I too have an airbrush but rearly use it.I do a lot of brush painting but I will say this about and airbrush,1 is the way you can blend a camo pattern in armor.2 is the smooth finish in aircraft.3.it is great when it comes to a one color massive paint job.I can also say this that in brush painting you can do some great camo that you cannot get out of an airbrush.Digger
My advice is to buy one and marvel at how you went without for so long. I invested in a double action Aztec a couple of years ago after relying solely on brushes and rattle cans for twenty years. Rattle cans are great for single block colours with an even application (like primer), but nothing can give you the subtle variations quiet like an airbrush for shading and blending. I love it.
