He did such an outstanding job on his JU-87 G-2 Stuka that I decided to do a review of the kit in the box.
So, if anybody should be interested, the latest update to Swanny’s Models is on-line and it is indeed the Hasegawa JU-87 G-2 Stuka plus accessories.

Guilty as charged ! I accept the blame. Thanks, Swanny.
That Eduard PE set is a real gem, isn’t it? Just be careful when you install the underwing radiators. They don’t make it too clear where you have to cut. I ended up having to move my cut aft, and add styrene where I had cut too far forward. I did one at a time to get the position correct on at least one. [banghead] I also waited until after the fuselage was together to add the strap for the gunner’s position. My gunner’s seat was a tough alignment.
Good luck on the build, and try not to drop yours ! [banghead][censored][censored][censored][censored]
Ack!!! Now you BOTH did it to me…
I have to build this now…
Hey Swanny, I noticed you added me to your links page, thanks!!
I guess it’s time for me to update the page and turn it into a real website…
Jeff
Thanks for the review Swanny…after I saw the shots of Pix’s Stuka, I felt the need to posess one.
Your review of the kit and the PE that dresses it up means my wallet is going to take another hit.
Pix and Swanny - you two are evil.[:D]
Bwahahahahaha, yes, spend your money!
Keep in mind those are suggested manufacture prices, you can save money going through Great Models or Squadron.
Hey Pix, got any close up shots of that radiator issue?
Jeff - now you need to join the web ring.
Hey Swanny I like your site. [:I][:p]Its better now…Nothing bad before, but know its more organized. Very nice!
And i cant wait for the Stuka.
Great article and information Swanny.
Here’s a shot of the radiator location. The doors are the PE parts, but the “body” of the radiator is in the locating holes. The cut runs directly through the middle of the holes. Fold the “trunk” first, position it here, draw the lines, then place the radiator with PE doors attached over it to make sure that you’re not too far forward or back. Its tricky, but the grills are real beauties. Good luck !
Oh, yeah. Here’s my next one to tempt & tease.
Trimaster 1/48 Heinkel He 162 “Salamander.”
Thanks Pix, I will file that for when I build mine.
Hey Pix,
When you starting the He-162?? I have the same kit, and I just managed to get my little mitts on the Monogram book for the 162…
Not exactly a group build, but if you need anything let me know.
Jeff
Jeff - I’ve found color pics for everything but the cockpit right sidewall, canopy latches, and canopy hinges. I’m also at a loss as to what the sidewall color in this pic is.
Any ideas?
Ack!!! I thought I had the 162 book, turns out it’s the Ar-234…but I do have the Polish Militaria #49 on the 162. Here’s a drawing from the rear cover, this should help you out. It’s deliberately a BIG image so you can get the details. JH
great article swanny. pix your attention to detail is an art in itself. however i dont feel i will build this kit. some of the other ones…
joe
swanny hi[:)]
thanks for the review of the stuka…i’ve got that kit in the hangar and it’ll sure come in useful when build-time comes around.
the site looks great by the way, and then i read your full construction account of the condor…WOW**!!**[bow][bow][bow]
how you soldiered through all that vacform i’ll never know, but it looks simply fantastic!![8D]
did you ever post that thing in this forum? i don’t remember seeing it…if you haven’t then you should…as many people need to see works like that as possible![:D]
by the way, i gather hitler used the condor as his personal transport…any conversion/decal sets out there for that version? i’m too scared for vacform[:0][B)], but i’d give the trumpeter 1/48 a go…
anyway, thanks for sharing…
regards,
nick
