Well, it’s bleedin’ obvious innit? The pitcher on the box!

Michael

(To be honest, I haven’t the foggiest idea either. Maybe minor refits? Or is one of them the “what if” version with 20" guns in twin turrets…?).

Yeah, it’s kind of obvious isn’t it? Besides the pictures being different, there’s also different kit numbers. There confusion solved.

Actually my take on this would be different releases of the same kit. They may all have the same parts (the prices are the same so no PE in one and not another). One may have been released a year or two earlier and one may have Japanese language instructions. Testors did the same thing with several of their airplane kits and released them as HSO with a higher price even though some of the kits were still in their catologue in regular release. The only difference was the box.

42132 – 1942

42134 – Battles of the Phillipines including Leyte.

42136 – The Batle of the Sibuyan Sea – as lost

thanks ED for clearing that up

so really the middle one is kinda the one to ignore the first is as built the middle was just Minor radar changes and the as lost was the Major refit with all the gun changes

i want to do the as built as lost combo

Don’t forget - the first one has a name plaque, too!
