After working on 1/48th scale kits this little guy is like assembling a watch! It is a very well made kit. Too bad the decasl are so bad in ICM kits.

That’s a really sharp model. I’d say you did an excellent job with something so small.
Joshua
Very nice work on the little guy.
Regards, Rick
i have a bunch of those icm’s in 1/72 scale i love that little plane
i also have the bomber they used to attach them too as a parasite fighter
as far as (in general please) russian planes the good thing is they were rather dull in decoration so bad decals in their case are not as much a problem as with some other countries planes most hobby dealers can sell you some generic russian stars and reg numbers an easy fix
oh by the way great job
I love the I-16, have done for years, great little plane…if you can get to an airshow where one will perform you’ll love it. If you’re US based I suggest you head along to the Commemorative Air Force’s next Airsho.
You’ve certainly done a great job with this Ishak…I love it!
BTW, sorry to break up the party, but the little flaps that cover the wheels are meant to be up, rather than down as they are on your kit:

No offence intended, just wanted to point it out.
Great rendition of Safonov’s mount.
I built the Academy version in 1/48, because having looked at the ICM kit in 1/72, it was just too small!!!
Karl
Very nicely done.
