Hi everyone,

Here is my latest project of the above mentioned. Firstly I like the rare colour scheme’s and when I saw the Illiad design’s decals I just had to build it. Hobbycraft 1/48 Pretty much out of the box with the exception of a resin seat, camera pod and Squadron vac canopy. I also cut off the crude landing lights and replaced them with some 1/72 missile tips that I cut to size, drilled out and painted chrome silver. Tell me what you think. The overall scheme is Blue Angel Blue-Model Master with Tamiya XF-16 flat aluminium in the wheel wells. I also added some minor plumbing to the wells also. Most of my references come from the Squadron Hurricane walkaround. Please tell me what you think and which areas i can improve on. I do know that one of the wheels is not straight and will fix it before the march meet.

Interesting! You did her service, nice job.

I have a book on the history of Lockheed, and in it is a P-38 in a haze camo they tested to make it as low visible as possible. I have thought of building one some day:

Other than the cockeyed wheel, which you noted, looks like a very nice Build, Certainly a scheme not often portrayed. Thanks for sharing.

IMHO, both wheels need to be straightened so that they are in line with the center of the fuselage. Otherwise, an excellent build. Best wishes in the upcoming contest.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Next is a BF 110, 1/72 Italeri, I’m not sure on the marks yet but will probably be OOB. This will be the prequel to a Eduard 1/48 BF-110C.
