Hunter Detailing

Hello [%-)]
Does anyone familiar with the AeroClub detailing kit # 4869 for the Hawker Hunter (1/48?

I couldn’t find any information what’s inside this kit & how good is it.
Thanks
Yossi

I have used this , and have a spare set in front of me . You get a vac form replacement canopy , injection moulded cockpit tub and bulkhead , 2 types of replacement tail pipe, and in white metal replacement undercarriage legs and wheels, ejector seat and cockpit details. The set I have is actually marked V152 ,hope its the same.

The main faults in the kit are canopy shape , size of wheels, depth of cockpit and tail pipe. The acorn fairing in the the tail fin needs reshaping and the stabiliser needs repositioning but the instructions in Aeroclubs kit cover this . My own recommendation is to cut the intake ducts off the main fuselage interior duct leading to the engine and install them seperately in each wing and fit each wing to the fuselage side before joining the fuseage sides. Trying to fit the wings to the assembled sides and ducting seems to cause uneven wing dihedral . My own opinion is that this is caused by the interior ducting being a touch too narrow in plan . There was a lot of correspondence in modelling magazines about this problem but I seem to have avoided it .Hope this helps.f
