Hi all. Sometime down the road I’m planning on building Trumpeter’s 1/48 F-100C and am just looking for the right cockpit colors. I want to say it’s the standard Dark Gull Gray, but according to Squadron’s Detail and Scale, the cockpit is Medium gray. Can anyone out there put this issue to bed?
From my refs, the 'pits generally are a medium grey with black side panels and gauges… However, the side-panels, breaker and switch-panels and the like are usually sun-faded to a dark grey… The non-skid on the floor starts life black, but quickly gets scuffed to aluminum…
The correct color is Dark Gull Gray FS36231.
