Huey pic

Here is one of my finished works. I finally figured out how to post pics.

Nice clean build. I like! Glad you figured out how to post pics. Thanks for sharing your build.

Very cool!

What kit is that?

Nice build. It looks really decent. I think the non-skid on the skid tubes is a nice touch. I really hate to criticize, but your tailboom elevators are on upside-down. Flat portion should face up on them. I know, it sucks that some kits instructions are messed up or aren’t very clear, but only a skid geek like me would notice stuff like that. It is still a very nice overall build.
Is that the 1/35th Panda model??

A nice Huey indeed, thanks for the pics…

Very nice indeed! That is the Panda kit, right? Looks great, thanks for posting, come again anytime. [:)]

Take care,
Frank

Very nice UH-1N! The tailboom elevators are an easy fix. Carefully cut them off with a razor saw or with the backside of a new #11 xacto blade. (Make several score passes with the blade.) Then with a pin vise, drill a hole in the atachment end of the elevator. Cut a piece off of a paper clip and superglue it in the hole. Now drill a receiver hole in the tailboom at the appropriate spot . Put glue on the pin and the end of the elevator and insert in the receiver hole. If you do this carefully, it will not show that a repair was made.

Oh I forgot to mention, switch the starboard and the port side elevator locations to get the correct “flat side down” position of each as AH1Wsnake mentioned. Good luck!

Hey thanks guys for the input. I can’t believe I did that with the stabilizers!! Rookie mistake. It is the Panda kit stock. I’m currently working on a SH-3H in the white with grey bottom scheme. I’ll post some progress pics. Still learning this whole modeling thing, I picked it back up about a year ago when I made my father-in-law a huey gunship on a plaque, he was a retired Marine Vietnam pilot. Weathering is the tricky part so far!

Very nice work on the twin Huey.
