I just got my HP-CS and I must say that I absolutely adore it. However, there appears to be something not quite right with the parts schematics that are available in the box and online.
My nozzle is not one of the rounded-type ones, it is a threaded version much like on the HP-series. I figure this is normal and they’ve just botched the documentation, but if I want to use the larger 0.5 NeNo combination what parts do I order?
I have (Impatient) I 704 1 (Nozzle)
I 717 2 For the Needle (I 717 2)
And I 6021 For the Cap
I could also use I 6171 for the needle.
Just wondering what any of you all have done to make this work.
regards,
Cory
hello rolgan, your’re right, its a misprint if you ask me. i did the samething when mine arrived. i thought they had put the wrong schematic with the wrong airbrush.LOL anyway, you have the right equipment its just a generalized elcipse schematic. again, the part #'s for the 3 part conversion to .5mm is the i6021, i6041, and i6171. i’ve never used the .35mm needle with the .5mm nozzle so i dont know for sure if you can get away with that or not. i’ve been meaning to get around to it i just havent yet. happy airbrushing my friend. later.
Thanks for the prompt reply,
So what that means is that I should return the better nozzle (I 704 1) and revolution needle (I 717 2) to get the eclipse nozzle (I 6041) and needle (I 6171).
I’m almost tempted to see if the better nozzle will work, although if it doesn’t that means I’m stuck with a nozzle I can’t use…hmmm decisions, decisions.
i wish i could tell you rolgan, but you maybe should send the revolution parts back and swap them for the recommended eclipse parts. that would be my advice. why did you order the revolution parts?
I didn’t, I got them at my local art supply store which just happened to have barrels of the extra Iwta parts floating about, albeit at a more expensive rate than I could get online.
I’m almost positive the nozzle will fit, I’ll pop the .35 nozzle out and see if the threading pattern is the same, it likely is in which case I’ll use it and let you know the results.
the only thing is that i dont own any revolution parts. the .5mm conversion for the eclipse hp-cs has a cone type nozzle without the micro nozzle screw in. the .5mm conversion looks more like my omni5000 needle and tip. that makes since to me now that you’ve said you bought the parts locally. later.
