How to upload photos to a post?

I want to upload several photos of my recently completed HK Model’s 1/32 scale B-17, and planned to add a short paragraph about my experiences building it. There’s a green-colored button for uploading images, but

Sounds interesting.

re: photos; First get a Photobucket or any other free to use image carrier account. Load your pictures to that site. Copy that sites direct image link .

Then on FSM use the rich text format to open your post. Write whatever and insert your photos where you wish using that green “insert image” button- the photo will appear at the location of you blinking cursor.

HTH

This doesn’t work Duster. I do it, but instead of showing the photo it shows the address, for example:

Sorry Duster, I misread what you said. What I’m looking for is a way to put multiple pix in without having to do them one by one? In some Forums you can copy the IMG text copied from Photobucket but it doesn’t seem to work here.

I’ll give it a shot, at least I’ll explain how I do it. First, start an account at a photo-hosting site; I use Photobucket. Then, upload your pics that you’ve saved to your computer. After they are uploaded, you’ll see the thumbnail pics.

Move your cursor over the pic and you’ll see a little gear symbol in the upper-right corner. A drop down menu appears and you choose “get links”. Another window will open with several choices for you. You want to click on the one that says “IMG codes”. Once you do, it will show “copied”. Now, go to the post that you’ve started here and simply “paste” the code. Do it over again and again and post all ya want!

I hope that helps!

I just tried that in the Test forum with no luck

Well now it worked. Hmmm. I did the same thing 15 minutes ago and it didn’t.

Thanks

I have had trouble with multiple images. It seems like it is hard to move the cursor down a line after an image frame is in place. What I have found that seems to work is to add several carriage returns, then move back up to where you want to insert first pic. Now, it will be easier to move cursor down below a frame. If you are putting in a LOT of pix, put in a lot of CRs.

Thanks Don,

I haven’t had problems doing multiple images if I do them one at a time. What I want to do, and do on other Forums, is do my write up in Word, copying the IMG codes into the Word document as I go. Then when I am finished, I select the entire document and copy/paste it in to my reply, and the pictures are shown in the post.

As I say, it didn’t work in the Test site, then it did. However, I formatted a file like that for somebody else, less versed in computers, and the result is that you can get the pix only by clicking on them. They are not imbedded in the post.
