How to lose your sanity in few hours (1/72 Mig-29 Digicamo)

Hi, this is my long overdue project (1/72 Fujimi Mig-29) which I shelved because of the complexity of the camouflage. Recently I said to myself, I can do this. I removed the previous masking and repaint the dark color first then re-masked it again. I took 2 hours each color to mask (6 hours now and running) and still need last color.

Thanks for looking.

wow a few hours??? this should be interesting

Uh…I…Holy Cow!!! Never in my wildest dreams would I try that kind of camo. I have enough trouble with standard camo patterns. [:D[ [t$t]

Hi,

That looks really fascinating. It’ll be cool seeing how it all turns out. [:)]

Looks awesome. Can’t wait to see more

Watching with anticipation!

I too am eagerly waiting. Is that the masking paper from tamiya that has the grids printed on it or did you do the layout yourself?

Ditto! Will be watching!

Wow! That’s going be really neat.

I have seen that camo and just thought no thanks, not for me. Wil be looking forward to your results.

I must say you have a lot of patience.

Toshi

Phew, that’s a big job. I hope you’re having fun with it because that looks like too much work to me LOL

So is that digital camo really used on a full size aircraft or is it a what if scheme?

John

I’ve always wanted to give this scheme a go. Looks like you are getting it done.

And yes, it is the real deal.

BK

Wow, guy in our club did a MiG-29 in a similar scheme. My hats off to you, love the results though! I’ve thought about doing one of the modern Chinese tanks with digital camo but not sure I have the guts!

Thanks for the crazy words of encouragement guys. The complexity of the pattern put me off but I already done a digital camo (ABU pattern) before with my F-117 and few of my airsoft rifles.

My insanity works!

Thanks for looking.

[Y] Probably something I will never attempt to pull off!

Hi, that looks great.

Updates: Exhaust and anti glare panel now painted and panel shadows done. Also tried to apply a light filter so all the colors blends to each other.

thanks for looking.
