How does this sound, a group build where everyone builds the same kit. One that is reeadily available and not very expensive? Everyone gets the same model, each week is designated for a particular section built, progress pics and comments and questions asked about troubles or tips and techniques. This can be for the advacne to help the novice or novice helping novice. This way everyone helps everyone at the same time to complete every thing in a certain time frame. Let’s say first month, a model is selected like a common car, airplane kit, or even a 1/700 series ship model. Then next month is getting parts for assembly and dry fitting and everyone can give input on fitting problems or discuss some updates that may want to be done. The next month (3rd) assembling sub-sections. The 4th month painting the main body. The 5th month painting interior sub assemblies. The 6th month assemblying everything. I think everyone gets the picture. This way us novice guys can actually follow along with how some of you experts buils a model and if us novice people get stuck it will be easier for us to explain where it is we got stuck because we all are using the same model. How does that sound? Any takers on this idea?
