I masked a canopy w baremetal foil but when i lifted it it left a residue what can I do to get rid of it? Thanks
Get some “Goo Gone” and scrub the residue with a Q-tip. I’ve seen it at Lowes in the paint section. This should remove it. Next time mask your canopies with Tamiya tape or Eduard pre cut masks.

Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) will remove the residue without harming plastic. It is available in pharmacies.
What I do is take rub my finger on my nose to get a little skin oil, and then rub the oil onto the residue and keep rubbing. Not too hard that you wear the paint off the frames, but eventually it rubs the residue away. I’m not sure exactly what the adhesive is that Bare-Metal uses, but it appears waxy to me, and it seems to actually help keep the clear plastic shine once it is buffed out.
thanks for all of this I will try them out . I thought I had ruined my plane !!!
Goo-be-Gone, Dissolve it and Alcohol will all work but be careful with the Alcohol. It will remove the paint, too.
Alcohol only removes acrylic-paint, not enamels.
