How to assemble an instrument panel for a Mig 15

Hi

I am assembling a cockpit and instrument in a Soviet Mig 15

It is put together like no cockpit I have seen before.

It takes one instrument panel which is light grey and you apply a decal to it. This I can do just fine. However it then requires a clear piece over top of it. How can I stick to the film with the clear piece without covering the film?

If I used white glue would it disappear under the clear piece of plastic when it dries.

Thank you,

Scott

Dip the clear part in Future and apply to the decaled instrument panel. The Future will hold it in position without leaving any clouding when it dries.

Thanks for the responses

I took a look at the decal for the instrument panel in the Mig 15

Seems it isn’t a decal at all, it is called a film.

Do I place this in water or do I just cut it out with a knife?

Why is it a film and not a decal? I have never come across this before.

Scott

White glue will turn transparent after it fully dries. However, to make sure it fully dries, but it on quite thin and uniformly.

Yes, those film pieces are cut to size with knife, or even better, good scissors.
