Didn’t realize it turned 60…
They’re as old has I am. I started working on them back in 1979 with VMGR-252 then with 152 and 352. An outstanding airplane and I have worked with some great maintenance personnel and aircrews over the years.
Yes I saw that report yesterday on Fox.
Same with the B-52’s. One pilot commented that his grandpa flew it back in the 50’s and is still going strong generations later.

We did and still do ( even with all the B.S. ) build planes that last .Look at all the Navy ships that lasted way beyond their expected service time.Because the basics were just plain American Tough !
