Just curious, how many hours a week does everyone devote to this hobby?
I try to spend a couple hours a night, but am quite busy sometimes…posting LOL. But I try to sit down at least once a week, and spend a good few hours busting out the things I’m not too thrilled about…such as filling, and sanding. But lately I’ve been using my airbrush every night, trying to get a few models done for the Tamiya Con.
A lot less than I want to. [V]
At the moment I am lucky if I can manage 3~4 hours a week, I also got another Hobby/Interest that takes 2~3hours of my day, add to that work and Family and the time is just not there.
Not enough. A couple hours at most. Usually to relieve stress.
Every minute I’m not doing chores, homework or on the forums Oh yeah or when I’m at the Hobby shop [(-D][(-D][(-D]
All the time im not sleeping ( but I must admidt I have had the occational dream…[:)] )
Plus my job is my hobby (Games-Workshop)!
and my work there is only part time, so all my days off im ether at my Girlfriends house or at building another model!
Same story here. I might spend 4-6 hours a week modeling. I have a pretty demanding full-time job. (70 hrs a week), but any evening I do have time, I model. I also try to dedicate Sunday evenings as well.
Anybody ever see the movie “Office Space”? “Human beings were not meant to spend all day in cubicles, staring at computer screens!”
Retired… Nuttin to do but model [:D]
Try to get a couple of hours every week, but a demanding job + a babyboy of 4 months makes sure that it rarely works out that way

I try to spend atleast 4 of my seven days working on my models. If I’m not building, I’m reading my two favorite magazines; FineScale & Military in miniture from the UK. I would love to see more of their 1:1 topics in Finescale. I’m 42 years old and retired due to Parkinson’s. I’m mean with an airbrush, but most days are tough with my 5"0" brush, so i put it down and wait for a better day[:D]
oh about 10-20 hours. usually fairly broken up.
depends upon the week. some weeks 20 to 30 others 6 to 8.

Not near enough!
Right now since I am laid up and out of work a whole lot. But normally when I’m working and doing everything else I get in about 10-15 hours a week.
I try to spend as much time as possible but my work keeps getting in the way! So I bring my models to work… hehehe…
Not nearly enough!
Right now I’m really busy with other stuff, but for those periods of time when I have other demands under control, I manage 8-10 hours a week. When I’m really doing well it’s hard to gauge because in addition to that, I’ll “tinker” here and there throughout the day
Sometimes 20-30 hours sometimes 0.
At the moment Im spending alot of time on Trumpeters 1/35 Leopold !!
(great model by the way) But when that is finished I may not build anything for weeks.
It depends. [:D]
welcome monrad. Post pics of your leopold if you can. We’d love to see it.
I’d like to post some pics of my Leopold but I don’t have a camera at the moment, but I will see if I can borrow one.
If your building one and want some advice I’d be happy to give it to you!![;)]
