I know this may seem like a very basic question to most of you, but how do figure how much paint to mix so that you don’t run out in the middle of your build, but you also don’t end up with a ton of stuff left over?[8]
guesswork for me… i also factor in too much is better than too little that way your not running out partway t finished.
I just use the leftovers for other models to paint things like jerry cans and equipment and so forth…
Just pour the extra in a bottle and hang onto it. You’ll need it sooner or later.
Are you talking about mixing custom colors where the entire model has to have the one consistent color on it?
hey mate, im only new to this, and i have he same prob… once or twice i have run out midway thru spraying, and its damn annoying, so now i tend to mix more paint than i need, just to be sure. and like the other guys have said, u can save it for later. last light i had some left over from painting disc brakes on my current build. i took the paint, added some bronze god and black (not much, just enuf to change the colour) and then i painted the center parts of the discs… and theres np way u can tell its the same colur!
