How many unbuilt model kits do you own?

I’m sure I’m not alone in stockpiling unbuilt kits. thought not intentional, I think I have twenty or so kits that I have not yet touched (probably a low number compared to some other modelers here?!). [;)] this includes all models (planes, armour, sci-fi).

Just curious how many kits on average people have in the queue.

I have almost as much fun shopping for the models as I do building them!

I have about 250 to 300 unbult kits (includes accesories and updates/pe/resin sets).
I have been collecting various kits for about 15 years and intend to build each and every one of 'em.

But there are people here that have much more than I do.

Untouched,0
Unbuilt ,25 here at home, about 50 at Moms house

Half divided between aircraft and auto

Nothing to write home about but some kits are about 15 years old up to present

Someday when I have the time (Like the old Twilight Zone episode…)

Here’s some pics of my model room, these were taken before I got the armor bug so if you count them you’ll need to add a few.

About 85 at the moment…
But I think that number will rise in the next week or two…

What, no wingie thingies? Oh well, different strokes and all that.
My inventory list on the computator currently shows 314 kits on hand. No armor or boats, 4 1/25 Mack trucks, 22 1/25 cars, the rest aircraft, mostly 1/72. That is more than I will ever get built, but like most modelers, I buy more ocassionally and am always wishing for a bunch more.

Intriged by this question I decided to count my stash. At best I can tell I have 211 untouched non-railroad theme kits stuffed in my appartment. The railroad stuff is another story and for another forum. I think I need to sign-on to a couple group builds!!! [:D]

I have 150-200 unbuilt kits in the stash with 2 in progress.
Tamiya’s 1/35th 75mm Pak40 anti-tank gun and Trumpeter’s 1/35th
Leopold K-5 Railway gun.

Wow, some of you guys have a lot! As best i can remember (im not actulay home to count them) i have three armor and maby 11-15 aircraft models lying around.

i have about 60-70 unbuilt kits not inc resin sets/figures; all are new(ish) kits, and are all WWII armour or aircraft.
it drives my fiancee nuts…[:p]

I have around 80 kits in my stash. That should do for the next 15 years, so it won’t even last me till reteriment!
I have got a full listing at my website http://m.1asphost.com/svankreijl/rgrob/
The site isn’t finished, so don’t expect to much.

This question was also asked in the general part of the forum, you should have a look at some of the replies. Some of these guys have their own private hobby store!

44- 46 unbuild model kits mostly 1/32 and 1/48 modern jets
also waiting to deliver 4 1/32 kits (academy f-16&f-18) (trumpeter f-16 & Su27)

I have about 40 kits lying around the appartment here in Canada, but I probably have another 250 or so 1:144, 1:72 and 1:48 + 1 1:24 Spitfire at my mothers house in Norway (She’ll be a happy camper when I finally take all of those away!)

Here is a piccie:

These are just a few…

Hi,

I’ve still got 40 unbuild (nothing did to it) kits, all aircraft except some accesoires for diorama’s…

I have about 10. When I first really got into the hobby 1-2 years ago, I said I would only have the one I am working on, so I am trying very hard to not buy any more until I build some of these. However, this weekend there is a model show / contest at a local shop with 20% of discount…Give me strength[:)]

Holy Ol’ Golden, some of you guys need to talk to my wife, she thinks that 15, between the auto and things with wings, is way too much. Hell, I need to stop shopping and start purchasing. Do kits with more than one model count as one, or the number of models in the box? Cause I got 3 or 4 with multiple models in each. AMT 1/72 Blue Angels set is the one that comes to mind right now, 4 F/A-18’s and of course the base and plexi stand to go with.

THE RACE IS ON!

I’m at just above a hundred unbuilt kits. That’s down from 250+ at this time last year.

I must be a “light weight”…only 4

Pushing 200 soon - I would love to be able to do my 1/48th Herc C1P, some day I will have the space !

Around 75, mostly aircraft. I think I buy at a ratio of 3 to everyone built. Hard to believe but at one time I only bought one kit at a time and would not buy another until that one was finished. Is there some type of disease associated with this hobby that makes one buy? I have a friend that has around 1,000 kits and is afraid to put one together!
