I want to know how many models are you build per year ?? for me it’s 1/35 military and I built around 7-8 models per years. What about you?
it varies by year. i build mostly 1/35 armor and 1/48 aircraft. My goal most years is to get a finish rate of one per month, although most of my projects take longer than a month to complete nowadays. The more free time I have, the more completions I get. But this year had many distractions and other things cutting into my time, as well as a 6 month long case of modeler block… so I will have the grand total of one completion this year. And still be up to my hips in project number two when this year turns into 2017…
I do 1/48th WWII aircraft and 1/35th armor. I probably do 5-6 a year. 3-4 during the "winter’ and 1-2 during the “summer”. I too suffer from modellers block where I can’t stand to see a piece of plastic. I have a 1/35th ICM T-35 I’d love to start but I know track links are in my future…Just can’t pull the proverbial trigger. Also, sadly, I golf anytime the temp. is above 45 degrees.[ip]
About 6 to 12 a year. It depends on if I’m building 1/350 ships or 1/72 armor/planes. Usually a mix of both.
Edit: After looking at this year’s builds…18
Mine is around a dozen, usually just over. A lot comes down to what i am doing each year. This year i did more 35th armour diorama’s, and they takea bit more time. This year was 13, 2015 i did15.
I’ve only been building models for 18 months. My first year I went totally crazy and built 48 models in 12 months. LOL! This year I am probably between 15 to 20 models. I’ve learned so much from forum members here on how to detail and even scratch build kits, that I now take the time to learn how to build and see models at a different level.
A good example is my current build, a Revell of Germany 1/72 C-54D Skytrain. I’m going into three weeks and haven’t even laid down my first coat of paint yet. A oddity for me! LOL!

4-6
Not because I’m such a craftsman,or because my techniques take so much time.It all comes down to how much bench time real life allows me to have.
Like everybody…it varies. As of this moment, I’m sittin on 28 complete, with another 5 finishes before New Years…maybe…they’re real close!
Average is 30-40.
Over the last two years, I’m averaging 1.5 complete per year. And that’s only true if I complete my only kit for this year, during this week! [:D]
Fermis,
That is impressive, especially with the quality you put into each build.
2 this year, first ones in a 40 year lapse. Would have been 3, but the rest of the decals won’t be here till next week. Production hopefully will ramp up some in '17
Mercy guys!!! I aim for about ten but ended up with only five finished this year… [:$]
Probably less than 5 1/35 scale armor kits and maybe 6-10 1/72 scale armor kits. I also normally build a handful of kits I don’t really count like the box scale Revell Star Wars easy kits. I built three of the four The Force Awakens kits for myself and all four with my son as well as a few others I got on sale at Hobby Lobby.
Average 70-75 a year.
Bought…or built???

Keep in mind, I only work about 5-6 months of the year. Off season is all winter long. Aside from some “on call” graveyard shifts at the airport for snow removal (which is where I am now), there’s very little outside distractions. Also, a good portion of my airport time is spent waiting for the snow to build up enough to go take care of it…or, like tonight…it MIGHT snow. Gotta be here, just in case. So…I bring a few models with me, and do all I can that does not involve paint(gluing sub assemblies…sanding seams, not much else though). During the work season, I’m lucky to finish 5 or so, and that’s with having a couple well under way by the time work fires up.
I can’t really say “usually”, since I just got back into it this past year, but I pretty much stik to 1/72 aircraft- in 2016, I’ve completed 11, plus 1 1:144 plane, pluss two 1:76 tanks, plus two small scale ships.
Built - I build models as my profession.

3 or 4 maybe 5 if I get a lot of time.
