how many links?

I found dragons stuG III Ausf. C/D sd. kfz.142, a decent kit thats one of dragons early releases, ive been saving it for when i run out of kits i have my emergency stock and im almost done with the suspension and just glanced over at the next step and it doesnt say how many links of track to assemble can someone help me?

Well, by no way do I swear to this, but I think that it would have 93 links per side?

Thanks, Jim

Well there’s no way I can give you a number here( Manny probably could), but results vary for some lesser known reasons. The universial answer here is to begin building the track with the proper amount of sag in just the right places (based on your observations of proper reference material) and find the number needed as a result of the building process. Let me know how it goes.

Complimentary Reference Shot…Good Luck

thanks guys, im going to try 93 links first and add or subtract from there, and thanks for the pic, i didnt know if i could add stowage or not so i guess i will

Indy’s got you on the right track…there are a lot of variables that will influence the “final” number of links on a Pz III/StuG III chassis. The range should be in the 92-95 link range depending on how much sag you want and the molding on the DML indy links.

ok guys got it all hammered out 94 was the magic number because i like the look of sagging tracks theyre not too saggy theyre just right
