how many hands does it take to build a model airplane?

Really? No thumbs? Well , scratchbuild a pair and get her to work!

Umm Fermis I do hope you wash the model afterwards nothing worse than a model that smells of feet.

My cat has thumbs…really he does.

Now that just aint right!

Comes in handy anytime you need to scratch the back of your head and in front of your ear at the same time! [:D]

It’s all fun and games until he opens a closed door.

[li]yikes… lol

If he does, hes prolly just going to Vances place for tweezer training…sheesh…say that three times fast…lol.

Time to discuss the

Infinite Cat Theorem ? [whstl]

Ain’t ever gonna happen with ANY kit’s fuselage halves… Best you can do is hope for as little filling/sanding as possible… But try to use the cement to help… Applied correctly, and in stages, the cement will melt the plastic, allowing you to squeeze the halves together, pushing a little “bead” of melted plastic/cement out… Then when it hardens, you shave it off with a sharp razor-knife… Note: That technique won’t work with CA glues… The don’t melt the styrene…

As for how many hands? Many as you need… And wanna buy…

One. At the Dallas show last weekend I met a guy who produced the most beautiful collection of Stug IIIs I’d seen. He had only one arm and had since about 1 years old. The most amazing thing was his attitude. He hated being labeled as disabled. When asked how he did it, his reply was “I put them together one part at a time like everyone else.”

I have yet to get a nice bead, but I keep trying. Every once and a while I will get a small section with a bit of a bead to work with. Often I end up with a small concave line where the pieces fit together.

Considering buying a touch-n-flow. Right now I am using a small brush to apply glue.

Thanks.

And I like that extra hands device.

Mine is just as helpful. He has the patience to allow any paint to fully cure.
